I think that Elizabeth is alive. The reason I think that she is alive is because Dr. Beck is getting emails from someone and only he's knows and his dead wife knows. I think that she is hiding out somewere, I don't understand why she would be but their must a very good reason. She probulary hasn't contacted David because she doesn't want him to know were she is and why she has been hiding out for all these years. That is my opinion. Samantha
I do think that Elizabeth is alive. I belive that she is held against her will. I also belive that the Scope family is some how involved, I think that they are the ones that took her.
I believe that Elizabeth is alive, and she hasnt contacted Dr.Beck because her abductor probably told her that she is going to die if she contacts him. So the abducter is playing this sick game with Elizabeth and Dr.Beck for like his own peasure
I think Elizabeth was just kidnaped and is still alive some where. I think she is either with Carlson or Stone. She hasn't contacted David probley because she is not aloud to she is probley getting hurt bad, she probley wants to get intouch with him bad but is held kidnaped so she wouldnt be able to.
I think Elizabeth is alive at this point in the novel. I don't think she was murdered but kidnapped. I think she is being forced to pose in the view of the camera against her will. I think she knows what it is about but there is nothing she can do. David must be wondering why she hasn't tried to contact him but Im sure he will soon find out from the new set of clue's that he has.
From what i have read so far I think Elizabeth is alive and maybe she had someone else before she left. She must have a very good reason and she told her story to someone else and now that person is trying to get money out of it or just give David hints about what really happened with Elizabeth.
I think that Elizabeth might still be alive. The way that david asked Elizabeth's father what happened when he went to go identify her made it seem like she might still be alive. When Dr.Beck was saying they way Elizabeth looked in the video it seems like shes not dead but,who knows. I don't know where she would be if she were still alive. Maybe she would be hiding out because she killed the two men that were found dead.
Elizabeth was abducted and brutally murdered. Elizabeth could not be alive because her body was identify by her father and her uncle. I don't think is alive because the killer was found and the case was closed. Elizabeth is not alive that is why she couldn't contact him unless someone is holding threating her if she contact him David was also be kill. I think he is a doctor and when you are a doctor you do have alot of enemies.
I was thinking Elizabeth was alive because it is just hard to explain how is Dr. Beck receiving these e-mails, and how did she appeared on camera saying "I am sorry". I think she had a big secret and decided to leave him.
I think that Elizabeth is alive. She must of escaped from David. I think David was an abusive husband. And think she must be the one e-mailing him the messages. tm

"Eight years ago, you'll recall that we hired two men to prefrom a certain task." I don't think that she is alive and she had somthing to do with her killing.
